Bilateral Model Arab League

Similar to Model United Nations, Model Arab League is a student leadership development program for high school and college students across the United States.

Participating students represent their assigned country’s goals and foreign policy objectives thus increasing knowledge and understanding of the richness and diversity of the Arab World and its peoples.

As they draft and debate resolutions in specialized and general council meetings, the participating students gain a deepened awareness of the importance of the ability to apply key skills including;

  • Understanding the intersection of social and geo-political agendas
  • International diplomacy and negotiation
  • Critical thinking and collaboration
  • Parliamentary procedure
  • Public speaking

In addition, the students are given access to first hand insights from notable keynote speakers including:

  • Ambassador Clovis Maksoud, former League of Arab States’ Chief Representative to the United States and the United Nations
  • Ambassador Chase Untermeyer, Former United States Ambassador to the State of Qatar
  • The Honorable Yousef Ali Yousef Al-Khater, Consulate General of the State of Qatar
  • Ryan Crocker, Dean and Executive Professor at the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University
