Website/Graphics/Social Media Intern

Available internship at the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce involving Social Media/Graphics, Communications, IT Support, and Project Coordination

Role:

During the internship period, you will build and develop relationships internally within the Chamber and build reputable portfolio work. As a graphics/website/social media intern, you will assist in the execution of graphics such as logos, brochures, posters, and other visual branding elements. However your role here is not limited to just strictly graphics works, other task include: working with cloud-based enterprise event management platforms and CRM’s (Customer Relationship Management systems) such as Cvent, Salesforce and Google Cloud Platform. Along with WordPress Site maintenance, front end basic HTML and email marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Some college; with major in graphic arts, design, marketing or similar degree program
  • Experience in creating electronic collateral, websites, emails and other marketing campaigns
  • Experience with email marketing systems a huge plus
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic coding/slicing skills
  • Experience working within existing design templates, and always looking for ways to improve process
  • Experience managing/maintaining social media sites in a B2B environment

Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well in a close-knit team environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Must be able to positively adapt and change creative direction in a fast-paced and ever changing environment
  • Ability to learn on the fly and a strong, proven desire to learn
  • Ability to remain focused and produce quality work quickly under pressure of deadlines

You should be proficient in:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Microsoft office Suite
  • WordPress
  • Basic HTML and CSS
  • Cross-browser compatibility (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE, etc)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with management and project teams to maintain a consistent look and feel across web, email marketing and social networking campaigns
  • Deliver production work including, but not limited website graphics and content updates, electronic program announcements and email campaigns
  • Support projects as needed for marketing and promotional collateral, transferring data files, format collaterals in templates, revise and update existing collateral, etc.
  • Effectively prioritize workload in order to deliver high quality design solutions that consistently meet deadlines.
