On October 20-21, 2014, the Bilateral Chamber, together with Daily Mail and General Trust plc, successfully assembled a selection of African Presidents and distinguished delegates for the inaugural Global African Investment Summit, held in London, UK.

Bilateral Chamber board members, Adel Chaouch Ph.D, President Marathon Oil KDV, and Adrian Goodisman, Managing Director, ScotiaBank Global Markets, joined Bilateral Chamber Founder and CEO, Aida Araissi, and an executive business delegation at the Summit in London. African Presidents traveled to the event with Finance ministers, sector specific ministers and CEOs from state owned enterprises to address and hear from the global financial markets, project implementers, consultants and law firms about co-financing and executing their most pressing projects in Agribusiness, Natural Resources, Power, and Critical Infrastructure.  The Bilateral Chamber delegation discussed Middle East-Africa-U.S. synergies on responsible resource development with the Ministers of Energy from Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ghana.   Next steps include visits to the region managed by the Bilateral Chamber and a follow up meeting in the United States.

The inaugural Global African Investment Summit run in partnership with 5 African state houses is the only platform that brings together the public and private sectors to discuss specific transactions, access to finance, and over 30 bankable projects in Sub Saharan Africa requiring investment and technology transfer.
