Bilateral Chamber Member KBR Government Arm Lands Army Missile Defense Engineering Order

July 6, 2017 | Washington Technology

KBR’s global government services segment has received a three-year, $48 million task order from the Army for engineering and project management support to U.S. military missile defense systems.

KBRwyle will work with the Army to integrate the Patriot missile defense system with the Missile Defense Agency’s Ballistic Missile Defense System and the Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense system. The order also covers foreign military sales case support, testing and diagnostics services.

The Army awarded the order through the potential five-year, $3 billion Defense Systems Technical Area Tasks contract vehicle the Defense Department awarded in 2014 for research-and-development services.

A potential 10-year, $28 billion successor contract to DSTAT and two other related contracts has an anticipated solicitation release date of July 14 with an award in September 2018, according to Deltek.

The DoD Information Analysis Centers Multiple Award Contract is a consolidation of three contracts: DSTAT, Cyber Security and Information Systems Technical Area Tasks and Homeland Defense and Security Technical Area Tasks.
