The Bilateral Chamber was pleased to support the 2016 Africa iXchange Pan African Women’s Economic Empowerment Summit, the first conference of its kind, which debuted in Houston, Texas – February 25-28, 2016. Special guests included Lady Ndileka Mandela, the grand-daughter of Nelson Mandela, who was keynote speaker for the “Jewels of Africa” gala dinner, along with Presidential Candidate for the Democratic of the Republic of Congo. Mr. Bernard Katompa.

The conference included informative panel discussions with inspiring speakers including the first African American woman astronaut, Dr. Mae Jemison, Ms. Donna Cole, Dr. Ericka Brown, Vice President for Ben Taub Hospital and the Harris Health Systems, and Africa iXchange Honorary Chair, Her Excellency, Mrs. Veronica Nataniel Macamo Dhlovo, Speaker of the Parliament for Mozambique.
