2020 Vietnam Trade Mission

2020 Vietnam Trade Mission

Mission Statement

The United States has become the largest exporter of natural gas in the world. The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is increasingly relying on LNG to meet its energy requirements. The APAC region represents more than 72% of the global LNG demand. It is estimated that $81 billion in investment is needed in LNG infrastructure by 2030 in the APAC region to meet demand. In March 2016, the Government of Vietnam passed the Seventh National Master Plan for Power Development (PDP7) that mandates the development of LNG terminals, storage facilities and infrastructure to supply gas-fired power plants to meet Vietnam’s growing demand. This Trade Mission, organized and executed by the Bilateral Chamber in its 24th year of leading highly successful international Trade Missions, will serve to advance U.S. business interests and commercial objectives in the APAC region. The Bilateral Delegation comprised of US LNG exporters, world-class EPC companies, innovative downstream technology and solutions providers, including international law firms with LNG & transaction practice, will meet with key Vietnamese Energy Industry & Trade Ministers, government officials and its business leaders who carry responsibility for full implementation of the Vietnamese Seventh National Master Plan (PDP7).
